Job Title : Travel LPN - Med Surg (Night Shift)

Location : Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, NH

Unit : 3rd Medical, Shoals Building

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a travel assignment in the Medical-Surgical Unit at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a 36-bed unit with a supportive team in a state-of-the-art facility.

Unit Details

  • Beds : 36
  • Patient Ratios : 1 : 6, occasional 1 : 7 during surge periods
  • Support Staff :

Unit Secretary (day shift only)

  • Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) available for both shifts
  • Equipment : Telemetry
  • Documentation System : Meditech Expanse

    • Schedule & Policies

  • Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts)
  • Requirements :

    • Every other weekend

  • Rotating holidays
  • Floating Policy : Float to units with the same level of care
  • Scheduling : Self-scheduling available; leadership reserves the right to balance schedules as needed.

    • Qualifications

  • Certifications Required :

    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • IV Certification
  • Experience :

    • Previous Med-Surg experience required

  • Skills :

    • IV therapy and certification

  • Central line dressing changes
  • CBI, wound care, drain management (chest tubes, Jackson Pratt, etc.)
  • Foley catheter insertion
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • EKGs PRN

    • Uniform

  • Scrubs : Any color
