JOB DESCRIPTION
We're looking for candidates who are ready to contribute to our vision of reinventing data warehousing with our innovative, cost-effective cloud solutions. Join us to be part of the leading Data Cloud, enhancing our offerings from data pipelines to AI / ML capabilities.
Technical writers work with a world-class team of engineers and architects to create product documentation for client's industry-leading Data Cloud. Working in a fast-paced and challenging environment, you experience the immediate and direct impact of your contributions as client delivers weekly releases to our rapidly growing base of global customers.
2-3 days in office is mandatory.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Create online guides, reference docs, and tutorials for technical audiences (SQL engineers, application developers, etc).
Engage directly with product managers, software engineers, and UI designers to ensure all features, enhancements, and changes are fully documented.
Work with release engineers and dev ops to deliver weekly product updates and documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :
7 years creating technical product documentation from scratch, as well as from specs.
Strong familiarity with data ingestion / pipelines (ELT, streaming, etc.), storage (Iceberg, Data Lake, etc.), and transformation.
Strong SQL and RDBMS skills (Oracle, Teradata, Redshift, SQL Server, etc); comfortable working with sample code.
Strong familiarity with "Docs-as-Code" approach, specifically :
Source code control using GIT for branching, content review and merging etc.
Documentation languages such as RST, Markdown, etc. Preferably RST.
Exposure to using and documenting one or more of the following areas :
E-commerce products.
Data and application marketplaces, including producers / providers, consumers, and marketplace listings.
User interfaces (UI) and command line interfaces (CLI) technologies.
In-depth knowledge of the content development lifecycle, including :
Identifying and understanding the information needs of the audience.
Gathering information, interviewing SMEs, and conducting research.
Authoring, publishing, and managing online / web content.
Familiarity with :
Security, access control, identity and access management (IAM), and data privacy / governance (OAuth, RBAC, SCIM, encryption, etc).
Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, etc).
