Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
- Provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education.
- Effectively communicate relevant patient/family information to the healthcare team.
- Participate in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient care goals.
- Float between ICU and stepdown units as needed based on staffing requirements.
- Adapt to daily staffing adjustments every 4 hours, with potential reassignment to a new area in 4-hour blocks.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty areas (ICU, Stepdown, or similar).
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Basic dysrhythmia testing competency.
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to develop effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of nursing services and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Shift Hours: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
- Schedule: 6-week rotating schedules, with staffing adjustments every 4 hours.
- Float Requirements: Must be willing to float between ICU and stepdown units as needed.
