Job Description:
Part of Our Procurement Engagement and Sourcing team. Must be an expert, customer- focused Strategic Sourcing Manager! Will serve as a trusted advisor to the business, driving critical elements of the supplier relationship lifecycle including planning, sourcing and negotiations support for complex deals, and owning supplier relationship management. Will monitor current spend, financial commitments, and partner with various teams to forecast upcoming spend to support business needs. Additionally, will support internal customers in analyzing and rationalizing technology and professional services deals, will help build new sourcing and procurement processes and optimize our existing procedures, and will be a subject matter authority on our budgets, project spend, purchasing, and planning processes.
- Lead complex sourcing events, facilitate contracting, and manage supplier relationships across your book of business.
- Research and identify savings and supplier optimization opportunities within client’s current and future services needs.
- Support technology and services engagements with cross-functional leadership and business teams to facilitate solution selection, supplier standards and strategies, business requirements, and priorities with minimal mentorship.
- Excel in peer-to-peer and executive level, fact-based and data-driven communications and recommendations, both internally and with suppliers.
- Cultivate positive relationships across the business and all levels to find solutions and have courage to put forth new ideas and challenge biases.
- Analyze value proposition and total cost of ownership, understanding delineation of operating and capital expenditures, working with Finance partners.
- Develop and implement standard supplier agreements and relevant amendments, supplier management standard methodologies, and sourcing practices.
- Monitor and support ownership budget and associated actuals, supervising spend by supplier, team, project, and business unit.
- Lead sophisticated and cross-functional projects and process improvements across multiple partner teams and internally within Procurement and Financial Services.
- Act as a strategic advisor by being a knowledgeable and reliable resource to provide information and guidance to our customers.
- Mentor junior team members with difficult deals and standard methodologies.
- Build and own detailed reporting for internal customers regarding supplier relationships using metrics on savings, supplier diversity, sustainability, preferred supplier usage and supplier rationalization.
- Make recommendations for a supplier vision and strategy for a specified business unit or internal customer team.
- Find opportunities to rationalize suppliers and program strategies that deliver effective supplier use while considering risk, overall supplier mix and opportunities to invest in innovative or diverse supplier capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to policy, educate customers and suppliers on policy compliance.
- Support business adoption of supplier performance management standard methodologies.
- Detailed, creative person with a consistent record of ownership of technology supplier and financial portfolios with the following skills:
Minimum Requirements
- Consistent record supporting complex deals with technology and services suppliers, sourcing events, handling vendors and budgets, and leading projects, preferably within large tech organizations; technology and sophisticated services category management experience is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with large and sophisticated a variety of suppliers, with the ability to adapt and improvise.
- Leads with the customer to develop outstanding relationships with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Ability to lead a project from start to finish and aim to completion while navigating an array of diverse collaborators spanning functions from technology to shared services.
- Superb communication and writing skills - able to adapt style to best suit the audience.
- Eye for business to identify risks and connect the dots across multiple functions including finance, legal, contracts management and a wide variety of technology teams.
- Ability to understand both technical and business requirements from internal customers.
- Consistent record to influence and build alignment with a diverse group of partners.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment without losing focus on the details.
