About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Tulsa. As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for assisting the Controller in managing the company's financial operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Your contributions will be critical to the success of our organization.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3 years of experience in accounting or finance
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
High ethical standards and integrity. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally as needed
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities :

Assist in preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

Support the financial controller in developing budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and report variances.

Help design, implement, and maintain effective internal control procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and safeguard company assets.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.

Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records. Resolve discrepancies promptly.

Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including GAAP or IFRS as applicable. Stay updated on changes in financial laws and regulations.

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Work closely with other departments to gather and analyze financial information, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filings and ensure state tax compliance is maintained

Other duties as assigned.
