Job Description

Purchasing Agent

Location : Montrose, NY
Schedule : Monday – Friday | 8 AM – 4 PM or 9 AM – 5 PM
Pay Rate : $26 per hour

We are seeking a Purchasing Agent to support procurement and financial operations within our facility. This is a temporary role with the potential for extension.

Purchasing Agent Requirements :

Previous accounting experience is required

Experience specifically in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support is a plus

Strong organizational and communication skills

Proficiency in financial systems (SFS, PNP, or similar) preferred

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Purchasing Agent Responsibilities :

Process purchase requests and verify documentation, including invoices and packing slips

Communicate with vendors to resolve pricing and backorder issues

Order contract and non-contract supplies through approved vendors

Maintain purchase orders and process transactions in financial systems (SFS, PNP)

Manage resident and facility funds, including petty cash and financial postings

Oversee facility mail distribution, postage replenishment, and package deliveries

Support capital projects and assist with facility purchasing needs

Provide customer service to residents and employees as needed
