Job Description:
As a Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Ethan Health, you will deliver high-quality mental health care through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Your work will directly contribute to the success of clients in achieving their recovery and mental health goals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with ongoing monitoring and adjustments.
- Provide therapy and counseling as needed in conjunction with medication management.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
- Stay current with best practices and developments in psychiatric care.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing with Advanced Practice License in Kentucky
- Certification and experience in Psychiatric and Mental Health Practice as an APRN
- PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric – Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board Certified)
- Individual NPI number
- Experienced in both medication management and psychotherapy
- DEA license or eligibility for DEA registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health care, preferably in substance use treatment.
- Strong understanding of psychotropic medications and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Computer skills with prior knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
- Must be absent from the Federal Exclusion List
Preferred:
- Experience using electronic health records (e.g., BestNotes).
- Familiarity with CARF accreditation standards.
- Additional certifications in substance use treatment or trauma-informed care.
