Overview
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team, focused on ensuring the smooth operation of our properties under management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building systems, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs, and a proactive approach to maintaining facilities for the comfort and safety of residents.
Duties
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems within apartment units and common areas
- Troubleshoot and repair building mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, elevators, and HVAC systems
- Conduct inspections of building systems and address any issues proactively to avoid system failures
- Ensure grounds and common areas are maintained, including lighting, landscaping, and safety features
- Utilize work order systems to manage repairs, prioritize tasks, and maintain inventory of parts and materials
- Perform apartment turnover repairs and upgrades, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and appliance repairs
- Collaborate with property management to communicate status updates on ongoing repairs and prioritize urgent needs
- Supervise contractors as needed for larger projects or repairs
Requirements
- Proficiency in English for clear communication with residents and team members
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, with experience diagnosing and repairing common issues in apartment complexes
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and repair complex systems
- Experience using software to track maintenance activities
- Leadership skills to supervise other outside contractors as needed
- Ability to work with various tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.80 - $18.39 per hour
