We are growing our team! The Permit Coordinator is responsible for preparing and submitting solar permit submittal packages and coordinating the efficient and timely submittal, approval and retrieval from local jurisdictions. This role is a liaison between Ethical Energy and jurisdictional employees; working in partnership to resolve any redline correction and prepare for upcoming requirement changes.
Essential Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, submit, and receive permit packages in accordance with various jurisdictional requirements
- Understand the different permitting requirements for each type of project and municipality to ensure projects move through the queue as efficiently as possible
- Coordinate timely payment of permit fees and receipts management
- Advocate for Ethical Energy’s customers and partner with local jurisdictions to streamline permit process
- Schedule necessary appointments for permit and inspection pick up and drop off, obtain inspector signatures
Necessary Skills and Competencies
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with regulatory authorities, project teams, and customers
- Proven administrative experience
- Able to perform multiple, detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
- Perseverance and creativity in achieving the best outcome for Ethical Energy and its customers
- Customer service oriented with strong problem solving skills
- Previous experience with permitting or project managing a plus
