Role Overview:
As a warehouse associate, you will select cases and other containers of food products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems. Items are placed on pallets and completed orders are moved to the loading dock staging area with an electric pallet jack/forklift, wrapped, labeled, and readied for shipment in a timely manner. Must follow all safety regulations and ensure all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any additional duties assigned to best serve the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Customer Satisfaction: Achieve high customer satisfaction levels in receiving, dispatching, and quality control.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee warehousing activities and employee performance, providing regular reports.
- Inventory Management: Organize inventory, ensure accurate shipments, and maintain detailed records.
- Team Leadership: Train, motivate, and manage warehouse staff. Determine staffing needs and manage workloads.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues with excellent service.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other departments to enhance overall performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor (2 years). Experience in food distribution is preferred.
- Skills: Strong supervisory, organizational, and communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in warehouse software (WMS), MS Office, and data analysis.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Comfort working in varying temperatures and around moving machinery.
