Salary : THE ROLE
As the Lead Gifted Math Teacher for Grades 2-5 at Ethos Classical, you will cultivate a classroom environment that nurtures academic excellence, critical thinking, and a passion for problem-solving. In this full-time position, you will lead rigorous math instruction and contribute to a high-performing educational model redefining public education in Atlanta. With a caseload of 40 scholars, you will set high expectations for academic and personal growth while committing to your professional development. This position is following a push in model, where scholars are serviced in their classroom. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an educator with a passion for gifted instruction and a growth mindset.
THE PERSON
As the Lead Gifted Math Teacher, you will :
- Deliver engaging, rigorous math instruction tailored to gifted scholars in grades 2-4, ensuring they are challenged and supported in reaching their full potential.
- Differentiate instruction to address diverse learning needs, including advanced learners, ensuring that all scholars experience growth and mastery of mathematical concepts.
- Assess scholar progress through formative and summative assessments, providing actionable feedback to scholars and families.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, support staff, and families to create a cohesive learning environment that prioritizes scholar achievement and well-being.
- Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, resilience, and academic excellence where scholars are encouraged to take risks and explore advanced mathematical thinking.
- Incorporate innovative teaching strategies and technologies to enhance scholar engagement and deepen understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with families about scholar progress, growth, and opportunities for enrichment.
