Salary : THE ROLE
Our Lead Middle School Math Teacher will create a classroom environment that promotes high academic achievement, personal growth, and a love for learning, playing an essential role in building an innovative school that redefines public education in Atlanta. As a Middle School Math Lead, you will hold students to high standards, both academically and behaviorally, while continuously developing as a professional. Teaching three sections with a class size of 18-22 scholars is both a privilege and a commitment, requiring dedication, passion, and a growth mindset. Our math blocks are 90 minutes.
THE PERSON
As a Lead Math Teacher, you will :
- Design and deliver engaging, rigorous math instruction that fosters curiosity and critical thinking in fifth and sixth-grade scholars.
- Differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs and help every scholar reach their potential.
- Assess and monitor scholar progress, providing timely feedback and reports to both scholars and parents.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Cultivate a classroom culture that celebrates diversity, equity, and a commitment to academic excellence.
- Utilize diverse instructional materials and strategies to enhance scholar engagement and mastery.
- Communicate effectively with scholars, families, and staff to support each scholar's growth.
