Job Summary :
The Clinician in the Mental Health IOP is responsible for providing comprehensive treatment services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and counseling to individuals, families or groups. The clinician will develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of the client. The position requires strong clinical skills, knowledge of therapeutic techniques and the ability to engage clients in the treatment process. This position will be primarily daytime hours, 4 days per week.
Qualifications :
A minimum of Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field and / or CAC, CCMHC, NCC certification (or equal certification).
Preferred state licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent).
A minimum of 1 year experience / practicum and / or other work in the treatment field, specifically group and individual therapy.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Strong understanding of treatment modalities and therapeutic interventions.
Working knowledge of the DSM-V, with demonstrated ability to recognize the fundamental criteria sets for mental health disorders.
Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with serious mental illness or co-occurring disorders.
Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Assessment & Diagnosis :
Conduct a detailed clinical assessment of prospective clients to determine the appropriate level of care.
Use standardized assessment tools to determine a diagnosis.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and clinical guidelines.
Therapeutic Interventions :
Provide virtual individual, group, and / or family therapy using evidence-based therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).
Facilitate crisis interventions for patients in distress or high-risk situations.
Implement treatment plans and track progress over time, making adjustments as needed.
Case Management :
Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians.
Connect clients with community resources (e.g. support groups, 12 step programs).
Monitor clients' progress and follow up on care plans to ensure adherence and success.
Facilitate appropriate referrals to other treatment providers.
Documentation :
Maintain detailed, accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge notes, and clinical outcomes.
Ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner according to professional and legal standards.
Prepare reports and letters necessary for all entities (e.g. probation / parole, employment, STD / LTD / FMLA, EAP / SAP)
Coordinate prompt authorization requests and manage them with attention to timing to support smooth and uninterrupted services.
Patient Education & Support :
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Provide psychoeducation and support to help patients develop skills to manage their mental health.
Encourage engagement in ongoing treatment to promote long-term recovery.
Collaboration & Consultation :
Motivated to work in a team-orientated environment.
Attend clinical supervision minimally once a month to discuss patient progress and collaborate on care strategies.
Work closely with other mental health professionals, case managers, and primary care providers to provide holistic care.
Additional Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute weekly marketing initiatives, minimally 2 hrs, to engage target audiences and drive awareness of services at ETHOS Treatment.
Maintain educational requirements in accordance with the state and / or licensing board.
Attend monthly staff meetings every 4th Wednesday of the month.
Perform job duties in accordance with the mission and core values of ETHOS Treatment LLC.
Follow ETHOS Treatment LLC policies and procedures as described in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
Perform any additional duties as requested by the Clinical Site Supervisor or Chief Therapeutic Officer.
