The Kennel Assistant provides general support with veterinary husbandry, hospital cleaning and supply stocking, as well as light exercise and grooming for patients.

- Provide veterinary husbandry (e.g. bedding, cage turnover, food/water, litter, laundry, dishes)
- Provide general exercise and care for hospitalized and visiting animals; including walking, bathing, and grooming
- Assist with cleaning of hospital and grounds
- Assist with replenishing supplies in all areas of hospital
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable time management and problem-solving skills; working efficiently and effectively throughout the hospital

- Understand and follow established hospital processes and procedures (i.e. SOPs)
- Able to work well independently, as well as with a team

- Properly lift and carry up to 30 pounds, 1 to 15 times per shift
