Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a vital member of our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will provide top-notch care to critically ill patients, working closely with our experienced veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care and support to patients in the ICU, including vital sign monitoring, laboratory testing, and medication administration.
- Triage and assess patients, making accurate decisions regarding their treatment and stabilization.
- Administer basic life support measures, such as CPR and intubation, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all patients and staff.
- Document patient information accurately and communicate effectively with the veterinarian and other healthcare team members.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, sanitation practices, and medical terminology.
- Ability to calculate accurate dosages and injections.
- Familiarity with CPR and rescue breathing techniques.
