What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class 1 Blading Technician position at EthosEnergy Group?
EthosEnergy is recruiting for Class 1 Blading Technician for our Perris, CA location. Assist in blade removal and installation for all OEMs and Ethos Energy proprietary designs. Maintain Blade Department equipment clean and operational. Help maintain a clean and safe working environment. Operate all machinery and special hand tooling to perform tasks in Blade Department.
Job Responsibilities
- Load and unload rotors into turning rolls
- Perform incoming visual inspection of rotor
- Verify all incoming data is complete before work begins
- Become familiar with basic blade locking hardware and removal and installation procedures (T-root, Internal and external fir tree and straight axial entry) General Electric, Westinghouse and SDDT (Curved axial entry) FUJI, Mitsubishi and Westinghouse
- Remove and install blades
- Notify supervision of any defects in materials or workmanship
- Keep a positive attitude toward safety; cleanliness, neatness, quantity and quality of work as well as respect for the comfort and safety of others
- Up to 40% Travel will be required
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Interface with customers, engineering department and peers
- Complete layout of job and assignments
- Capable to find and know problems when they arise and provide explanations
- May have the capablity to quote and bid jobs
- May be able to prepare sketches for turbine parts from new or used samples so that Engineering can interpret and process to part.
- Performs material analysis and other non-destructive testing functions
- Maintain positive control of the customer samples
- Capable of globally applying skill sets for any make or model of turbo machinery
Experience
- Equivalent of two to five years- experience. Requires the thorough understanding of shop mathematics to be used in conjunction with complex drawings, sketches, specifications and prints. Use of precision measuring equipment.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Requires the ability to read and write and carry out instructions; this includes verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Able to work long hours as required Able to lift 50 pounds
