EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Gas Turbine Production Engineer for our Houston, TX location. Reporting to Engineering manager for Production Engineering, this position will specialize in supporting the execution of Gas Turbine Product Line orders from inception through final report and beyond, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role serves as support of the Shop Supervisor and Shop floor technicians, partnering to ensure the jobs are executed according to the customer and business requirements.

- Create, issue, and maintain shop work instructions (route tags)
- Review job releases and related background documentation of assigned jobs to understand a scope.
- Review any previous job history. Prepare and issue incoming equipment inspection packages
- Create and detail jobs in Ethos ERP to execute the work scope, including internal and external operations.
- Review drawings, specifications, and work instructions for adherence to standards prior to issuing a shop work package.
- Maintain a workbook of scope and cost (labor, material, and subcontract) for all jobs assigned.
- Design and implement new inspection forms as required.
- Review inspection results and confirm conformance to EE standards/OEM specifications or drawings when applicable.
- Based on inspection results, generate repair work scopes with a cost workbook outlining the man-hours, materials, and outside services required for the repair work scope. Review with Engineering Manager to obtain technical concurrence. Review estimated hours and costs workbook estimates with management, manufacturing, and Project Manager as appropriate
- When needed, call a meeting to outline and review the project work scope with all departmental representatives, note changes and agreed recommendations, and make these changes to the workbook and within the ERP where applicable.
- Initiate the purchasing of required parts, material and vendor services required to support assigned jobs.
- Prepare estimates for RFQ’s in support of commercial when requested. Review the work scope and estimates with Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing as appropriate.
- Prepare costs for extra work authorizations. These changes will be recorded in the workbook by the Repair Specialist and in ERP by commercial.
- Be prepared to work extra hours to support production schedules or deliverable due dates
- When not working on production work, identify process improvements and take initiative to further your knowledge of rotating equipment and repairs.
- MS technology suite.
- Knowledge of a shop workflow, and the use of an ERP planning system to create production management documentation.
- 5 years of direct experience in turbomachinery repairs is preferred.
- 2-3 years minimum in a manufacturing or repair shop environment.
- Customer relations and project planning experience are required.
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent required.
- BS in engineering is preferred, will consider years of experience, combined with education for this position.
- Certifications in CAD or PMP are a plus.
