Inspector A

EthosEnergy is currently seeking an Inspector A to help provide support to the Houston, TX facility. Perform the incoming receiving inspections, in process inspections, and final inspection for various parts associated with the steam turbine units and systems. as well as cross training in other departments to help when needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Dimensionally measuring with micrometers and other precise measuring tools up to and including Faro arms and other types of CMM machines.
• Perform Electrical runout and mechanical runout geometrical inspections using analog as well digital and/or computerized means of measuring.
• Performing Non Destructive Examinations using Wet Mag, fluorescent dye penetrant, and red dye penetrant. reporting non conformances in the in the non conformance reporting system.
• Using positive material identification system gun to analyze chemical composition of metals.
  
  

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Ability to evaluate the work of other inspectors and provide guidance on training opportunities, methods, and techniques
• Ability to evaluate and provide guidance on different inspection methods to use based on parts/work required
  
  

Experience

• 2 years experience required in NDE with current
• 5-10 years preferred in the steam turbine repair industry certifications.
  
  

Education Requirements

• Inspector A: Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) level II minimum hours: 210
• Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) level II minimum hours: 140
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT) I
• Visual Testing (VT) Level II Minimum hours: 140
• Must have successfully documented the hours required to be certified to ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II NDE
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50ls
• Must be able to spend 8-12 hours standing
• Must be able to 14 days continuous without day off
