We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Palo Pinto to support RW Miller Power Plant with a variety of operational and maintenance activities. Equipment for inspection not limited to, but includes gas and steam turbines, valves, and other mechanical rotating equipment. Success in this role requires a positive, safety conscious attitude with excellent maintenance, repair and troubleshooting skills. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of (5)-years of mechanical work experience within a power plant, or similar industrial plant environment. This position will require ability to be flexible with scheduling and may require short notice work requests. Overtime eligible. Ability to endure high noise, heat, cold, inclement weather, elevated workspaces and need to wear PPE equipment is required.

- Perform mechanical maintenance and inspection on gas and steam turbines, pumps, valves, and other equipment
- Be compliant with company policies (Health, Safety and Environmental policies, business policies, etc.)
- Responsible for the inspection and repair of mechanical rotating equipment, including the use of specialized tools such as laser alignment, borescope, and vibration equipment
- Perform safe start-up, shutdown and isolation of equipment using Lock out Tag out Procedures
- Troubleshoot equipment problems utilizing technical reference manuals and documents
- Liaison with regional integrity and equipment management
- Perform technical analysis to prepare recommendations for future action
- Identify and implement training opportunities and provide coaching, mentoring and training to other personnel
- Utilize automated maintenance systems to generate work orders and enter technical findings
- Supervise and coordinate third party contractors
- Provide technical expertise and oversight of others in the mechanical field and assist with other functions within the team (Operations, Instrument and Electrical Techs, regional, etc.)
- On-call rotation and emergency response as required
- Special Projects and other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated ability to utilize basic hand and power tools
- Versatile in completing tasks in preventive power plant maintenance and repairs

- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Five years of power plant, industrial plant or equivalent experience as a Mechanic is preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Word and Excel is required
- Two-year degree or HS Diploma with equivalent experience, with emphasis on mechanical repair skills
- Required use of Personal Protective Equipment including but not limited to SCBA's, respirators and various classes of chemicals
- Prolonged standing, sitting, and walking at times
- Climbing ladders and scaffolding, working from elevation may be required
- Heavy lifting and the use of hand and power tools
- Work with high-pressure steam, water and air, chemicals, and chemical equipment
- At times, may work in cramped and sometimes awkward positions
- Ability to handle inclement weather and confined spaces as the position can require being outdoors
