EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Machinist A to help support the Farmington, NM facility. Candidates will perform machine shop tasks as assigned by the Machine shop Foreman. The ideal candidate will have expert ability of all basic machine tool operations, repair, and maintenance. This position will be involved in installation and alignment of large rotating equipment, including dismantling, accessing damages and repair of damaged parts, and reassembly all while conforming to all Ethos Energy Safety and quality standards and procedures.

- Read and make blueprints
- Use measuring principles and tolerances and relay information to workable drawings, with the ability to use and calibrate precision measuring instruments to measure critical sizes to 0.0002” consistently.
- Use shrink fits through clearance fits.
- Working with; cast iron, steel, stainless, bronze, and copper are a few of the materials used with basic knowledge of usage, strengths and weaknesses.
- Engineer fixtures and jigs to facilitate producing quality products.
- Use of basic welding principles
- Disassemble and reassemble all sizes of rotating equipment.
- Diagnose problems and repair generators, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, holding very close tolerances.
- Develop and follow work-scopes based on limited knowledge and information.
- Generate time frames and material costs to work with our quotation department in providing pricing to our customers.
- Follow all company safety and quality policies set forth by EthosEnergy.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and machine design and capabilities.
- Knowledge of unconventional machine work, field machining, and alignment.
- Knowledge of overhead crane operations, rigging, and safe lifting practices.
- Ability to establish priorities and execute them.
- Skill to teach safe practices and procedures to co-workers in an effort to increase their ability and knowledge.
- Proficient in at least one form of welding, sub-arc, mig, tig, stick, or brazing.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in large machine shop operations.
- Minimum 1 year experience in some form or welding operations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
