We are currently recruiting for a Utility Technician (Composites) to join our Aerospace & Defence team in Duncan, SC. This position is primarily responsible for supporting composite and machine shop operations and other activity required to support repair with the authority to carry out all assigned tasks.

- Support shop floor and individual cells by cleaning, quoting, washing, testing, blasting, masking, coating, screen/composite repair, painting, material handling and assembly and disassembly of parts for repair and other activity as required
- Follow all work instructions and complete all quality documentation as required
- Must be mentally coherent and free from the influence of drugs (either illegal or legally prescribed drugs that may cause impairment) while performing in the capacity of “safety-sensitive” duties/operations per FAA regulations
- Perform any additional tasks as required
- Knowledge of company’s policies and procedures
- Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software
- Knowledge of basic data entry and/or word processing
- Knowledge of test equipment (i.e. Dyno Test)
- Knowledge of machine shop theory, shop mathematics and measurement equipment
- Skilled in working with composite material
- Ability to read blue prints and job specific routers
- Ability to conduct proper part preparation including cleaning of parts
- Able to organize workload to meet deadlines & manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work with minimal supervision or in a team environment
- Analytical and good problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral)
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English per FAA Regulations
- Ability to aid in audits
- Ability to think and concentrate for long periods of time
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations associated with repair work scopes
- Ability to train others as required
- Able to be flexible with work schedule
- Ability to learn tasks required to perform the job
- 2 - 4 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Good dexterity
- Punctual
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
