Overview
Perform the final steps in the plastic manufacturing process, using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to deburr, trim, grind, clean, polish, assemble, or package plastic and some metal parts to achieve the desired finish and quality standards, often including tasks like removing excess material, smoothing edges, and inspecting for defects, ensuring the finished product meets customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Trimming and deflashing: Removing excess plastic material from parts using hand tools.
- Grit blasting: Perform finishing operations using grit blasting machine.
- Cleaning and inspecting: Thoroughly cleaning finished parts and inspecting for imperfections like scratches, burrs, voids, or cosmetic defects.
- Packaging: Count and package parts to prepare for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment: Adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail: A keen eye to identify minor flaws and ensure precise finishing
- Hand-eye coordination: Ability to manipulate tools with precision and accuracy
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
