As the Cost Accounting Manager, you’ll be the financial steward of the Richmond operations, partnering with both the management team and the shared service center to ensure the plant’s financial health and long-term success. You won’t just be sitting at a desk — you’ll be actively engaged across the plant, helping solve real-time challenges, supporting global initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally to make a measurable impact.
What You’ll Do
- Take full ownership of financial and budgeting operations, from daily reporting to long-term planning.
- Lead cost accounting and variance analysis with a sharp eye on product profitability and operational KPIs.
- Analyze performance metrics and deliver insights that help leadership navigate challenges and seize opportunities.
- Safeguard company assets, manage capital and inventory records, and contribute to annual budget development.
- Serve as a go-to expert for ad hoc financial projects, risk assessments, and process improvements across teams.
- Collaborate globally and share best practices across our finance organization.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Systems and Health & Safety policies.
- Travel up to 5% — domestically and internationally — for cross-regional collaboration and professional development.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with a solid track record in general accounting, FP&A, and cost accounting.
- Deep knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proven ability to work across departments and levels with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to dynamic environments with a proactive mindset and results-driven approach.
- A valid passport and ability to travel to support business needs and training (including Canada, Switzerland, and Germany).
