Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and remove stormwater construction BMPs, such as silt fence, fiber rolls, construction fence, jute net, hydroseeding, etc.
- Assist with general construction tasks, including working with hand tools, installing underground and above-ground pipe and conduit, backfilling and compacting soil, sweeping, equipment spotting, and traffic flagging for various construction projects.
- Safely and efficiently operate small equipment, such as forklifts, water trucks, dump trucks, mechanized trenchers, hydroseeders, etc.
- Work closely with and under the direction of a crew lead/foreman/superintendent.
- Ensure all field procedures and safety protocols are followed in compliance with company- and client-specific requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of verifiable laborer experience.
- Physical strength and stamina required to complete strenuous work for long shifts outdoors.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal communication and comprehension skills.
- Consistent professionalism and positivity.
- Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and annual physicals, including alcohol/drug screening.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- HAZWOPER 40-hour training preferred.
