Under the direction of the Administrator of Special Education or designee, the Speech and
Language Pathologist provides specialized therapy, instruction, consultation, and services for students who have disorders of language and speech which includes hearing, voice and fluency; performs language assessments; assists in developing the Individualized Educational Program for students with language and speech disorders; consults and collaborates with teachers and parents regarding strategies which enable access to and progress in the general education curriculum. Experience
Special education coursework appropriate to LSH services
Education
Completion of an earned Master of Arts or Science degree from an ASHA accredited college or university.
CREDENTIAL/LICENSE
Bachelor’s degree, including courses necessary to meet the credential requirements; Appropriate special education credential CLAD certification is desired
Clinical Rehabilitative Services or Speech Language Pathology credential required
California Clinical Speech Language Pathology certificate required
