Salary Ranges:
$80,747 to $121,120 Annually
Compensation will be measured on relevant experience and qualifications.

The Supplier Development Manager is a key strategic role within our enterprise supply chain team, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers to meet the needs of the business. This position will focus on supplier qualification & onboarding/offboarding, global sourcing, supplier quality management, contract negotiations, and risk management & mitigation to ensure a reliable and competitive supply base. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in industrial manufacturing supply chains and a strong ability to drive supplier performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supplier Sourcing & Qualification
o Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support strategic sourcing initiatives.
o Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
o Develop and implement supplier qualification criteria based on technical, financial, and operational capabilities.
o Lead supplier transitions, including re-sourcing and global sourcing initiatives to mitigate risk and optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Supplier Performance & Quality Management
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, focusing on cost reduction, lead time optimization, and quality enhancement.
o Establish and maintain supplier scorecards, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, defect rates, and responsiveness.
o Work closely with internal teams (engineering, operations, and quality) to resolve supplier-related issues.
o Collaborate with suppliers on corrective action plans and ensure effective problem resolution.
• Contract Negotiation & Risk Mitigation
o Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term agreements with key suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
o Develop and implement supplier risk mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing, financial stability assessments, and contingency planning.
o Monitor global market trends, supply chain disruptions, and geopolitical risks that could impact supplier performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
o Partner with engineering, operations, and procurement teams to align supplier capabilities with business requirements.
o Lead supplier business reviews and drive alignment between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
o Develop and implement best practices in supplier management, leveraging data analytics and strategic sourcing methodologies.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-10 years in supplier development, sourcing, or procurement within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of supplier qualification, auditing, and performance management.
• Experience with global sourcing and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier capabilities and financial health.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Epicor ERP is a plus but not required.
