Salary Ranges: 

$16.50 - $20.50

Position classification will be measured on relevant experience and on-the-job pre-employment test results.

JOB SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Interns primary objective is to participate and support the supply chain process from start to finish. This individual will be responsible will be working closely with all departments to help improve efficiency.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Work with suppliers.
• Internally work with engineering and manufacturing departments.
• Understand supply chain processes. From design to manufacturing.
  • Price negotiation
  • Inventory management - parts inventory optimization and simulations.
  • Monthly metrics indirect and direct spend, freight, tooling cost and so on.
  • Parts sourcing strategies.
  • Risk analysis. Short and long term.
• Problem solving
  • Solve manufacturing issues related to supply chain
  • Solve engineering issues related to supply chain
  • Work with suppliers on daily basis

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Should be in the process of obtaining a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field at an accredited college or university.
• Possess strong analytical skills
• Great communication skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative thinker.
• Proficient in Microsoft application (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Some bending and twisting are required. Routine duties will occasionally require lifting approximately 10-20 pounds (and periodically heavier loads.)
