Delivery Driver (FedEx Ground)

Privately owned company that has contracts with FedEx Ground to deliver and pick up packages out of the Fletcher NC FedEx Ground Terminal

Seeking FULL TIME/ PART TIME PERMANENT FedEx Delivery Drivers with a POSITIVE ATTITUDE and attention to SAFETY and DETAIL. Must be a RELIABLE, HARDWORKING, TEAM FOCUSED individual.

We are looking for problem solvers.

Our drivers Operate P1000 vehicles

Our client offers: $20.50 per hour up to $23 with experience & performance

Bonuses are available.

Required experience (DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT):

Require Commercial Driving: 6 months (Uber/Lyft/Pizza Delivery are acceptable) Any delivery service a PLUS -

Responsibilities:

· Finish loading/sort vehicle according to assigned route for the day

· Safely and accurately deliver & pick-up packages in a timely manner

· Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle

· Properly code packages in scanner

· Maintain accurate inventory of packages

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 6 months to 1 YEAR of commercial driving experience within the last 3 years (ex: package delivery, landscape, pizza delivery, pool service...) and complete a training program

· be at least 21 years of age

· have a valid Drivers License - CDL Not Required - Must have- (For Hire License - Non-Commercial Vehicle Only endorsement)

· be of legal status to work in the US, we e-verify

· have a CLEAN MVR (motor vehicle record will be checked)

· complete a background check

· must have or be capable of obtaining a DOT Medical Card

· be drug free (pass immediate and random drug tests)

· able to handle large and/or heavy packages up to 150 lbs. with the help of a hand truck. This is a very physically demanding job & could involve climbing stairs

· must fluently speak, read and understand English

· capable of operating a scanning device

· have a working smart phone & willing to use it on the job for GPS & communication

· have reliable transportation to and from the terminal

· Weekend availability is required
