Job Title: Data Analyst/Report Writer
Location: Austin, Texas (Onsite - Local Candidates Preferred)
Job Summary:
ERS is seeking an experienced Data Analyst and Report Writer with expert-level proficiency in Tableau Desktop visualization development, as well as strong experience in Alteryx and Tableau Server administration.
The selected candidate will collaborate with Executive Office staff and IT teams to develop scorecards for the Data Quality Management program while enhancing the agency s proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server administration. The ideal candidate should be skilled in data collection, analysis, story development, governance, and the creation of advanced visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and optimize existing Tableau sites and projects.
Consume refreshed data and update Tableau Server and visualizations.
Build Alteryx workflows to create data sources for Tableau dashboards.
Integrate Tableau, Alteryx, SharePoint, MS SQL, and Oracle.
Design, develop, and maintain professional customer-facing dashboards in Tableau Server.
Balance standard reporting templates with creative storytelling techniques to develop compelling client narratives.
Provide guidance on best practices and standards for Tableau Desktop developers and Tableau Server analysts.
Support and troubleshoot issues related to Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server usage.
Develop governance documentation and best practices for Alteryx, Tableau, and BusinessObjects (BOBJ).
Upgrade and maintain Tableau Desktop across the enterprise.
