What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemist position at ETS?
Job Location: In-Person, $24/Hour (Based on Experience), 2nd Shift, Tuesday-Saturday
Our client is an industry leader in nutritional food production, and they want you to join their team as a Chemist!
Your day-to-day as a Chemist:
- Prepare analytical standards and accurately identify, weigh, and dilute stock standard materials for calibration
- Conduct sample weighing, dilution, and extraction using liquid-liquid and solid-phase techniques
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including HPLC, GC, ICAP-AES, and FT-IRPrepare general laboratory reagents (buffers, mobile phases, etc.)
- Perform routine analyses on raw material and finished product samples using separate chromatographic Analytical Methods (AM’s), log samples into LIMS, and calculate analytical results
- Assist with method investigations, equipment calibration, audits, and other assigned duties
Your skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science; or 10 years of relevant experience
- 2-3 years of experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory preferred
- Understanding of cGMP and nutritional requirements is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with LIMS and SAP preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with adaptability and attention to detail
- Capable of lifting and moving 20 lbs, occasionally push or pull 55 lbs
