What's the role?
Etsy's Site Reliability Engineering team is seeking an Engineering Manager of Core Infrastructure, to join us in our mission of building and supporting reliable large scale infrastructure. The SRE team owns several aspects of business critical infrastructure and services that enable developers to efficiently build and deliver code as well as support the uptime of etsy.com, our API Infrastructure and much more!
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, Foundation SRE. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy's Brooklyn Office Hub or in the San Francisco Bay Area may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. The Core Infrastructure SRE team is an SRE team in the Etsy Foundation SRE org that's responsible for building, maintaining and upgrading the core infrastructure that powers Etsy.com, our API infrastructure and much more!
- We use tools like Terraform, Chef, GCP, Ruby, Golang and many more to manage our infrastructure resources
- We're responsible for building and maintaining the compute and networking infrastructure that powers etsy.com
- We ensure that our infrastructure is resilient to failures, traffic scaling events and automated patching events
- We build and maintain multiple deployments pipeline platforms that enable our developer community to make infrastructure changes safely and efficiently
