ETTA is currently hiring an individual to join our team as a Supported Living Services Manager.
The SLS Program Manager is responsible for overall management and administration of ETTA's Supported Living Services, a Regional Center Program as indicated by Title 17. The Program Manager coordinates/facilitates all supports incorporating the principles of person-centered supported living. The SLS Program Manager manages a case load of clients with developmental disabilities who live independently in the community; they are expected to oversee staff to enrich the lives of individuals, with as much or as little support necessary to live happy, meaningful and autonomous lives. Program Managers are expected to demonstrate personal accountability and facilitate positive team interaction, enacting qualities to role-model for all assigned staff. The SLS Program Manager must navigate challenging staff dynamics and intervene when necessary to ensure clients live in a positive and cohesive environment.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Daily management and administration of services to all individuals on caseload
- Interviewing and hiring of Direct Support Professionals.
- Ongoing leadership, mentoring, training, and supervision for Direct Support Professionals.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules considering the needs of individuals, staff, and program.
- Remain available for urgent on-call support, shift coverage, and crisis intervention as needed 24 hours a day with rotational on-call for weekends.
- Coordinate communication amongst applicable parties, to facilitate wrap-around supports/services as needed e.g., educational or vocational contacts, medical professionals, family members, regional center, friends, support staff.
- Create person-centered goals and objectives for persons served, monitor progress, and revise as needed.
- Prepare quarterly or bi-annual progress reports.
- Promote person-centered planning and provide person-centered training.
- Facilitate and build a Circle of Support (COS) to help individuals engage their community, and establish/maintain cohesive, authentic, and lasting relationships.
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders: individuals served, their circle of support, regional center, ETTA employees, and community members.
- Complete/submit all required paperwork per policies and procedures and funding source requirements.
- Prepare/submit monthly Regional Center billing reports; analyzes expenditures to ensure target for funding.
- develop/maintain client records using HIPAA compliant web-based programs, i.e., Therap, Microsoft 365 Cloud.
- participate in Regional Center IPP meetings, representing ETTA in a competent and professional manner.
- participate in all behavioral/skill training as required by agency.
- Maintain knowledge of SIR policy and procedures; follow through on reporting special incidents according to determined protocols.
- Review referral packets, conduct interviews, and complete full intake assessments for potential individuals served.
Experience Required:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED with strong preference for Bachelor's Degree in a Social Services field (Social Work, Psychology, or other Human Services).
- Minimum 3 year's experience supporting individuals in the developmental disability community, preferably in residential settings.
- Minimum 1 year pervious supervisory experience, preferably in a related field.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the Regional Center system and home and community based supports.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively lead a team of Direct Support Professionals.
- Effective time management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and time management skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Effectively prioritize tasks.
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other tools.
- Availability to respond to emergencies including on evenings and weekends.
Other requirements:
- Be able to legally work in the United States.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a background screening through Live Scan.
- Be able to pass a TB and drug screening with a 'negative' report.
- Provide three verifiable professional references.
- Have the knowledge and/or ability to understand and abide by practices within Jewish culture.
- Have a high degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information.
- Have up to date CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications; or be willing to complete agency provided CPR/First Aid and CPI certification courses.
- Have reliable transportation during the workday.
- Meet the qualifications of a driver as established by our insurance carrier, provide proof of insurance coverage and an active driver's license, and receive DMV clearance.
- Pass routine evaluations.
