Child Care Worker (Part-time/Overnight) - ORR

Ettie Lee Youth & Family Services has served the complex needs of at-risk youth with emotional and behavioral problems and their families throughout Southern California for nearly 70 years.

Currently, Ettie Lee is seeking a Direct Care Provider/Full-Time Child Care Worker for its Residential Program at it's Azusa and Baldwin Park, CA locations.

The Position:

Child Care Workers will work with adolescents ages 13-18 in a group home setting who have experienced significant trauma. This position offers the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the youth.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Managing the daily living environment of the home including supporting clients in school
• Providing daily leisure-time and recreation activities
• Ensuring medical and dental needs are met
• Facilitating meals and clothing shopping
• Documentation of client progress
• Maintaining a safe and clean living environment.
• Helping residents manage their response to traumatic stress that results in behaviors such as running away, fighting and non-compliance.

Qualifications:

• Must be bilingual (Spanish speaking)
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• 1 year full time paid residential experience working with adolescents is preferred
• Must be able to pass criminal/fingerprinting background check, TB Test, Physical Exam and Drug Testing
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License, a minimum of 5 years of driving experience and a DMV record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have proof of immunizations
• Must be technologically proficient (Microsoft Office)

Available Shifts:

• Day, Overnight and Swing shifts (afternoon into evenings).
• Schedule is either Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday. Will be determined based on availability and needs of Agency.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.61 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
