Job Duties

Under the leadership of the Program Manager/Clinical Supervisor/Group Home Supervisor, coordinates, implements, monitors, and oversees the medical services for the program.

Ensures compliance with licensing, contract and legal standards and ORR medical standards.

Monitor youth for any emergent medical or psychiatric needs and provide care as assessed.

Report all medical concerns to the Program Manager/Clinical Supervisor/Group Home Supervisor & Facility Managers and document as appropriate in the client case file and on the ORR Portal and complete an Incident report to ORR and/or CCL as required.

Complete the Medical Assessment and/or the Initial Intakes Assessment portions of the Admission & Orientation of youth.

Provide Medical Service orientation to newly admitted youth.

Prepare all Initial Medical Exams and other medical/dental etc. paperwork to be taken to the appointments.

Complete TAR to request requested medical referrals.

Develop providers that take Point of Comfort Insurance.

Assist clients in the self-administration of medication, documentation and monitoring of psychiatric side effects.
Qualifications
Experience: High School Diploma AND
-
One year of full-time experience, or its equivalent, working with the client group to be served.

(1) Experience shall be verified as having been performed as a paid or volunteer staff person whose duties required direct supervision and care of the client group served.

(OR) Two years’ experience as a member of the social work staff in a group home performing those duties specified in Section 84065.2(c).

(OR) Completion with a passing grade, from an accredited or approved college or university, of 15 college semester or equivalent quarter units in behavioral science, 9 units of which must be in courses relating to children with behavioral problems which may be the result of abuse, neglect, or emotional trauma. The courses may include, but are not limited to curriculums in Corrections, Psychology, Social Work, or Social Welfare.

BA/BS preferred.

Medical experience preferred.
