Warehouse Associate/Driver - Night Selector

Perform a variety of functions including but not limited to order pulling, loading outgoing customer orders and unloading incoming truck deliveries. Accountable for accuracy in order fulfillment, and insuring quality control for all orders pulled. Adhere to all local, regional, Company safety policies and procedures at all times. Responsible for assigned pallet jack and keeping work area clean.

Essential Functions:

MUST BE AVAILABLE SUNDAYS

Perform daily safety checks on assigned warehouse equipment

Pull all Fresh, Frozen, Dry, Specialties orders accurately with all picking tickets, pull tickets and bar codes facing outside for the scanner

Apply Euclid’s Finest and Company picking labels to all Specialty Euclid’s Finest products

Build neat pallets of product, with fresh fish, chicken or beef cases placed at the bottom of the pallet

Select all product by coded date rotation. Look for special code date requests on the pick sheets and special product requests

Retrieve all missing product from orders as needed and as directed

Report product not found to supervisor on duty

Stage all orders at assigned pallets, loading dock doors or other designated area as directed by supervisor

Restore damaged boxes to ensure credible appearance before selecting product

Maintain the standard production average

Scan labels, load and unload trucks as directed

Job Description

Comply with all safety procedures

Report all accidents and injuries, safety and other issues to supervisor on duty

Perform clean up in assigned work area, including garbage removal

Wear proper warehouse attire assigned for job at hand, eye wear, freezer gear, aprons, beard wear, arm guards, proper processing gloves

Work as part of the team to perform clean up after shift, including work area, dock, packaging rooms and associated equipment used

Qualifications include:

One year work experience within a refrigerated warehouse and/or distribution center preferred

Experience working electric pallet jack and forklift and lift variable weighted cases ranging from 50-80 pounds

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and other warehouse procedures

Ability to function with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to work various lengths of time in cold environments including freezer

Ability to pass a drug test; will be in random drug test pool; ability to pass background check and license check prior to hire

Working Conditions

Variable work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays

Assist other team members with preparing product during our busy Clambake season (September

and October) requiring work on some Saturdays and Sundays

Very physically demanding with frequent lifting, loading and unloading

Extended exposure to cold temperatures and the outdoors during seasonal work

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50-80 lbs.

Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
