A Career-Based Education (CBE) teacher for middle school is responsible for instructing students in occupational, vocational, career, or technical subjects. They guide students in developing practical skills and understanding of various career fields, using a variety of teaching methods including lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Instruction:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons on career-related topics, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
· Curriculum Development:
Create and implement curriculum aligned with state standards and industry needs.
· Skill Development:
Provide opportunities for students to develop and practice essential skills through hands-on activities and projects.
· Assessment:
Evaluate student progress through various assessments, including projects, presentations, and tests.
· Counseling:
Advise students on career options and provide guidance on post-secondary education or training opportunities.
· Communication:
Maintain open communication with students, parents, and other staff members.
· Safety:
Ensure a safe and organized learning environment, particularly in labs or workshops.
· Collaboration:
Work with other teachers and staff to integrate CBE into the overall school curriculum.
