Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing various challenges, including mental health issues, addiction, and crisis situations. Your expertise in behavioral health and crisis intervention will be vital in helping clients navigate their circumstances and work towards positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to empowering individuals through mentorship and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate support plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to individuals in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients in their recovery journey.
  • Offer mentoring and support to clients, fostering resilience and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and resources for clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in mental health counseling and addiction counseling.

Experience

  • A background in social work or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in behavioral health settings, particularly with crisis management and intervention strategies.
  • Familiarity with systems related to mental health services and addiction recovery.
  • Skills in motivational interviewing, mentoring, and providing support during critical situations are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations is a plus.
