Position Overview:
As a Customer Service/Ecommerce Intern, you will be instrumental in maintaining excellent customer satisfaction on our website. You will manage customer inquiries and resolve issues using Gorgias, our customer support platform. Additionally, you’ll gain hands-on experience navigating and managing our Shopify store. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in ecommerce, customer service, and online retail, with the added benefit of learning to use industry tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to customer inquiries via email, chat, and social media using Gorgias.
- Assisting with order issues, product returns, exchanges, and general inquiries.
- Helping customers navigate our online store and assisting with the purchasing process.
- Collaborating with the ecommerce manager to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Learning how to navigate Shopify and assisting with backend order management, inventory tracking, and product updates.
- Escalating complex issues to senior customer service representatives or the management team when necessary.
- Maintaining a professional and friendly tone in all customer interactions, ensuring a positive brand experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience with customer service is required.
- Familiarity with Shopify is required (experience with ecommerce platforms is a plus).
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with customers.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.
Internship Requirements:
- Must be located in New York.
- This internship is for school credit.
- Commit to a minimum of 2 days in-office and 1 day remote each week, for at least 4 hours per day.
