CT Technologist (Travel)
Seeking CT Technologist to provide services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Iowa City (hereinafter referred to Iowa City VAMC).
Shifts :
Day Shift -Monday to Friday, 7 : 00am to 5 : 30pm.(eight-hour shifts with possible start times ranging between 7 : 00 a.m. and 9 : 00 a.m.) . No services required on holidays unless on call.
On-call contractor's CT technologist(s) must be available at all times by telephone.
On-call CT technologist must be available by telephone within 15 minutes of initial contract attempt and on-site within 60 minutes of completed notification.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional.
Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients.
Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images.
Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging.
Examining images to ensure they are usable.
Updating patient medical information
Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment.
Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required.
Qualifications :
You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job.
Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program or equivalent.
Must have a current (ARRT) (CT) - certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
