Position Overview :
Eurasia Group is seeking an Associate Director of Communications in the Marketing and Communications department to support the firm's media and communications priorities and broader mission of helping people understand the world around them. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the international relations landscape, a proven track record of developing and executing successful media relations and communications strategies, and experience working with the most influential global top tier print, digital and broadcast media. This position can be based in New York, Washington DC or Canada and will report to Eurasia Group's Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.
Responsibilities :
- Work across the firm in close coordination with the broader communications, marketing, social media, and digital teams, and senior leadership and spokespeople.
- Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies to support the thought leadership goals and objectives to increase the firm's visibility and reach. This can include being responsive to the day-to-day and breaking news cycles, collaborating on large-scale campaigns such as Eurasia Group's flagship Top Risks Report, and targeted sector and regional campaigns.
- Manage all aspects of the firm's media relations initiatives, including coordinating logistics in the lead up to and following media appearances for key spokespeople across the firm, writing and distributing pitches for proactive media placement, and reviewing inbound opportunities to make recommendations on which should be prioritized.
- Build and maintain working level relationships with producers, media partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with team members responsible for social media content generation, liaisons in global offices and principal's communications lead.
- Coordinate rapid response communications strategy with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead media training sessions with analysts and ensure best practices.
- Organize and moderate in-person and virtual press conferences and briefings.
- Track media hits to include weekly coverage updates and quarterly reporting to measure success and metrics.
- Develop communications strategy to include areas of expansion and addressing gaps.
Requirements :
The applicable base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
