About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant and Janitor at the Eureka County Senior Center. This is a casual position that requires flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, kitchen cleaning, and janitorial duties. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in food handling and preparation, as well as basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and safe lifting methods.
Responsibilities:
- Assist cook with meal preparation and kitchen cleaning
- Break down cases of food and stock shelves
- Clean facility, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, dust furniture and equipment
- Operate large institutional food preparation and cooking equipment
Requirements:
- Nevada Driver's License
- Servesafe certification or equivalent
- First Aid, CPR, and elder abuse training/certification within six months of date of employment
