Job description
Are you looking for a fast paced, energetic, team oriented dental office? We are seeking a full time dental assistant to join our team.
Our practice has a loyal patient base, with capacity for new patients and dedicated clinical and business support teams.
This position is for Mondays - Wednesdays 7:30 - 5:30
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
- CEREC- scanning and design.
- Take intraoral photos
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
- Manage infection control
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Perform Child Prophy
- Perform all necessary lab procedures.
- Uphold a positive rapport with staff members and patients at all times.
- Demonstrate safe and cost effective practices when utilizing supplies and equipment.
- Assist office in achieving defined goals.
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following all dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
- Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, HR policies and practices)
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess outstanding time management, communication, and technical skills
- Can-do attitude, a proactive nature, a strong sense of ownership and integrity and a desire to continue to learn and grow
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, instruments and equipment
- EFDA certification or willingness to get EFDA certified after hire
- Dental assisting experience is a must
