Job Description:
The Eureka Springs School of the Arts (ESSA) is seeking a Facility Coordinator to join our team in Eureka Springs, AR. The Facility Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that our grounds are maintained and our facilities are in good working order and available to be utilized to their full potential. Our ten campus buildings include office spaces, teaching studios, shared gathering spaces, and lodging, all located on beautiful, park-like grounds.
Facilities and Grounds
· Field requests and monitor need for upkeep and repair of buildings, grounds and equipment with assistance of grounds and maintenance contractors, staff, and/or volunteers.
· Identify and coordinate prevention and/or correction of any actual or potential hazards, and respond to emergency maintenance and grounds requests as required.
· Select contractors and monitor contractor performance, address quality/workmanship issues and reports any concerns.
· Track, inventory, and order general campus, maintenance and groundskeeping supplies.
· Ensure that proper tools and equipment are on hand for general facility needs and conduct and/or assign minor maintenance tasks.
Housekeeping and Lodging
· Set schedule for housekeeping tasks and schedule housekeeping contractors and/or staff as needed.
· Schedule instructor, resident artist and guest lodging stays as requested and ensure lodging readiness.
· Ensure that trash and recycling are properly collected and/or disposed and that laundry is properly processed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
3 years experience as a Facilities Coordinator or similar role
Experience in scheduling and supervision
Ability to work in varying outdoor and indoor conditions
Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, online collaboration platforms (e.g. Zoom), and Google suite (particularly Google Calendar)
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Well organized with the ability to prioritize work
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Flexibility and positive attitude, and an ability to work well as part of a team
