Job Summary
Working as a Senior Meeting & Event Planner, you will serve as the customer's single point of contact for meetings and event planning, and logistics. You will manage meeting rooms and space reservations and ensure their optimization. As the single point of contact for events, you will coordinate the activities of service providers to ensure an efficient and cohesive event, by providing a detailed account of setups, pickups, deliveries, guest arrivals, breakdowns, and other relevant information.

Job Summary
Working as a Senior Meeting & Event Planner, you will serve as the customer's single point of contact for meetings and event planning, and logistics. You will manage meeting rooms and space reservations and ensure their optimization. As the single point of contact for events, you will coordinate the activities of service providers to ensure an efficient and cohesive event, by providing a detailed account of setups, pickups, deliveries, guest arrivals, breakdowns, and other relevant information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans and communicates to all departments that express need of the customer
- Works directly with clients and customers to ensure that all details of their meetings are arranged and space reserved appropriately. Constantly communicates with them to keep abreast of changes, additions, and customer comments
- Acts as a liaison between the service providers and all customers * Prepares all service orders by using room reservation software
- Creates floor plans and vision boards for all special events, inclusive of event concept, theme, colors, furniture, dishes, flatware, etc. which highlights the customer's vision
- Hosts "touch base" meetings with service providers and customers leading up to an event, ensuring all matters of logistics are being met
- Works closely with the Audio Visual & Conference Services Departments to ensure room set-ups, A.V. needs, and special requests.
- Works closely with the Food & Beverage Department for food quality, menu maintenance, and assessing customer feedback
- Assists the General Manager in analyzing all aspects of Conference Services operation and reports back on any aspect that does not seem to be functioning properly
- Assists the General Manager in analyzing and creating quarterly Operational Review reports, including PowerPoint slides, and compiling data from the space management system
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not necessary if the candidate has related conference services experience
- Five years of hotel or conference center experience, to include event planning and project management
- Abreast of industry trends
- Superior quantitative, oral, and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills
- Excellent overall computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business
- Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
- Exceptional customer service abilities
