POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Mathematics, within the School of Physical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego (http : / / www.math.ucsd.edu / ), is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and invites applications for tenure-track and tenured faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This is a broad search that is open to applicants from all areas of pure and applied mathematics and statistics. All positions are subject to availability of funding.
Teaching and research in mathematics, and related topics, will be expected. Ideally, the candidate will have skills and interest in teaching lecture courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on UC pay scales. The starting date for the position is July 1, 2023.

QUALIFICATIONS
Currently pursuing PhD in Mathematics or related field
Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field prior to first quarter of teaching
