Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as an Environmental Monitoring Analyst at a commercial cell therapy production center located in Frederick MD. You will work with the Quality Control team to support our efforts in this exciting new area of cancer immunotherapy
Quality Control is a support team for manufacturing, primarily involved in cleanroom environmental monitoring. Additional tasks may include final product microbiological testing, subculture, EM trend monitoring as well as utility monitoring of compressed gases/air and water. Responsibilities
- Performs cleanroom environmental and/or utility monitoring and sampling as a primary function in Grades D-B (ISO 8-5).
- Monitors bio hazardous waste in laboratory and satellite accumulation area
- Participates in validation and qualification activities as needed
- Reviews and issues Environmental Notifications based on raw data, and validated electronic data acquisition systems.
- Troubleshoots standard instrumentation/test methods.
- Performs activities in support of final product release testing (e.g. tests applicable for endotoxin, sterility, and particle isolation)
- Performs activities in support of routine and non-routine environmental monitoring including surface viable air, non-viable air and personnel monitoring.
- Performs routine utility monitoring to include water sampling and bioburden testing and sampling of compressed gases/air
Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
- Prior experience in the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry
- Prior lab experience
- Basic Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Basic Knowledge of general techniques such as aseptic technique, cleanroom gowning, and laboratory documentation
- Knowledge of CFR and other regulatory requirements.
- LIMS Proficiency
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Technical training on environmental monitoring of facility and utility systems.
- 2 years of relevant experience and a High School diploma or BS degree, or degree in a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
