The successful candidate for the Scientist position will join the Profiling and Screening team to provide support for our high value commercial research services using DiscoverX PathHunter platform and other proprietary technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- SOP driven sample (compounds) testing based on customer request, and data analysis.
- Optimization of assays to obtain robust performance in screening applications.
- Troubleshooting and validation of cell based assays for profiling and screening projects.
- Generation of reference data for qualification of assays.
- Instrument protocol optimization and validation.
- Cross train with R&D for onboarding new assays.
- Accountable for Compound management team operations and Inventory maintenance.
- Train and supervise compound management team until they can be deemed completely independent.
- Daily laboratory notebook entry.
- Daily database documentation entry.
- Weekly progress report generation.
- Participation in and presentation at group laboratory meetings.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.
Education/Experience (BMQ):
Bachelors in cell biology or biochemistry plus 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience or Masters with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Experience with cell-based assays required.
Expertise in cell based signaling assays preferred (i.e GPCR cAMP and Ca2 Second messenger assays).
Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):
Must be detailed orientated and consistent in experimental approach.
Must deliver data in a timely manner.
Must be team-oriented and accustomed to working with other scientists.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Must be comfortable and experienced working in a commercially focused lab environment.
Must be a good at multi-tasking.
Must have very keen attention to detail
