Job Description
- Instrument Qualifications: Perform and document checks on various lab instruments (like HPLC, GC, KF, UV-Vis) to ensure they work correctly.
- Repairs: Handle urgent repairs and replace consumable parts (such as lamps, pumps, seals, tubing).
- Pipette Maintenance: Develop and carry out maintenance, calibration, and repairs for pipettes.
- System Readiness: Ensure instruments are ready for use.
- Scheduled Maintenance: Perform routine checks and qualifications after maintenance.
- Troubleshooting: Solve basic issues with instruments, mainly related to calibration.
- Testing Support: Help with testing during instrument upgrades.
- Documentation: Keep records of service and report metrics.
- Vendor Coordination: Escort vendors who come on-site to perform maintenance on contracted instruments.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a physical science (like chemistry or physics) or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Work Authorization: Must be able to work in the U.S. without restrictions or sponsorship.
- Skills: Good computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
- Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and adaptability.
- Learning: Willingness to learn new techniques, handle multiple tasks at once, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and adhere to company policies.
