Job Description
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct all the daily activities related to the studies.
- Act proactively to identify and solve problems and/or potential problems that may arise during each study.
- Set up and conduct experiments in accordance with the labs Protocols and SOPs.
- Efficiently conduct studies with minimal supervision.
- Accurately perform and record all data collected from the studies.
- Maintain meticulous and precise records of all experiments in accordance with GLP’s.
- Follow all lab safety requirements.
- The Scientist must join the weekend work rotation, after cross-training and certification.
- Help during other studies, as needed.
- Assist in the writing of reports, protocols and SOP’s.
- Write-out necessary amendments and deviations.
- Revise, update and maintain the study data packs.
- Ability to safely wear a respirator required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. degree in Toxicology, Animal Science, Biology, or Laboratory Animal Medicine is strongly preferred, equivalent hands-on laboratory experience may also be taken into consideration.
The individual holding this position must be of highest integrity and have a very strong sense of responsibility and be proactive. He/she must be mature, well organized, capable of adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and able to maintain meticulous and accurate records. Computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP’s) and a strong work ethic are essential requirements for this position. Adherence to GLP’s is of utmost importance.
Additional Information
Position is full-time, working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, some weekend required overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to South Brunswick Township, NJ are encouraged to apply.
