Job Description
Seeking a detail-oriented and fast-learning scientist to perform analytical testing for biological therapeutics in a compliance-driven environment. Responsibilities include executing LC assays, troubleshooting, and supporting high-throughput testing while ensuring cGMP/GLP compliance. Daily responsibilities could include:
- Contributing as a part of a small team towards the execution of various analytical methods to support the biological therapeutic product release and characterization testing in a compliance-based environment.
- 100% testing and method execution related work, as well as associated documentation and routine troubleshooting.
- Independently performs routine testing for simple and/or complex LC assays using established Test Methods for characterization of proteins and quantitation of process and product related impurities.
- Provide support for high throughput testing needs using automated liquid handlers.
- Computer competency is essential with emphasis on spreadsheet-based software.
- Understands and applies the advanced scientific principles, theories and concepts, practices and standards for product development by identifying trends and deviations from study design.
- Conducts work in compliance with cGMP/GLP, safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate will Have:
- Understanding of basic scientific principles and theories for one or more of LC-based methods like RP, IEX, SEC, CESDS, iCiEF, etc.
- Experience working with one or more of the following methods: RP, IEX, SEC, CESDS, etc.
- Experience working with Waters HPLC and UPLC and software like Empower, and Excel is preferred.
- Knowledge of theories, principles and techniques of relevant scientific areas and a basic understanding of industry practices and standards
Minimum Qualificaitons:

Candidate must have a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical, or other biological/analytical discipline along with the following experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related environment:
- Bachelor’s with 2-4 years of relevant industry experience; or
- Master’s with 0-2 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions to meet quick turnaround times.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
